The US DVD have a severely cropped image (though not 4x3) compared to the english region 2 release, which offer the complete image in a very wide format, with lots of black top and bottom. In you don't have a 31 inch (or bigger) 16x9 TV set, this can look awkward, but if you do, get the UK region 2 release, if you can. The difference is dramatic! Believe me. I have both. I got the US version first, but as the resolution isn't enough in NTSC, I got the UK release as well, and what I got, and only recently discovered, was a much wider image.
The US image perfectly fill up the 16x9 screen, but...whoa, how much it leaves out!!!!

Disney really could have crammed ALL the Winnie the Pooh theatrical shorts onto this disc. As it is, we're given three strung together as one (Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree, Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day and Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too!) with some new footage (in much the same way as Daffy Duck's Quackbusters). Because of this, there is no consistent story from beginning to end other than the usual hapless, hijinks of the animals from Hundred Acre Wood. I really would have preferred the complete original cartoons, but that's why I don't work for Disney.
They certainly don't make cartoons like this anymore though (too busy with soulless rubbish like Meet the Robinsons [Blu-ray]). TMAOWTP was certainly one of their last greats ... Read More:

WINNIE THE POOH AND THE BLUSTERY DAY IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES. WHEN I WAS SMALL I WATCHED IT ENDLESSLY AND NEVER TIRED OF IT. I'D JUST PLOP MYSELF DOWN ON THE COUCH NEXT TO MY BROTHERS AND ENJOY. THE BASIC STORY IS POOH, WHO OF COURSE LOVES HONEY. WHEN TIGGER BARGES IN AND TELLS HIM ABOUT "HEFFALUMPS"(ELEPHANTS) AND "WOOSELS" (WEASLES)AND THAT THEY ABSOLUTELY LOVE HONEY POOH STAYS UP ALL NIGHT WITH HIS POP-GUN AT HIS SIDE FOR FEAR THAT THEY WOULD COME FOR HIS. WHEN HE FINALLY FALLS ASLEEP HE DREAMS OF "HEFFALUMPS" AND "WOOSELS" THE WHOLE TIME. MEANWHILE PIGLET WHO IS ABSORBED IN HIS DREAMS SUDDENLY AWAKES WITH A FRIGHT. THE 100 ACRE WOODS IS COVERED WITH WATER! FLOOOOD! WHILE EVERYONE ELSE IS HEADING OVER TO CRISTOPHER ROBINS HOUSE (WHICH IS ON A HILL)POOH AND ... Read More:

(Ernie Howard) Shepard (1879-1976).The main characters are Christopher Robin Milne and Winnie-The-Pooh(the stuffed bear).4 summers ago, when I was 6 1/2 ,I went to Target Drug store -the one in Walnut Creek,CA Usa to be exact-I received Winnie-The-Pooh (1966).It is a great toddler video. But eventhough I am NOT a toddler anymore, I still LOVE it.This wasn't really what you would call a movie. It was just a theatrical short viewed before a movie in theatres to enjoy.Only the 1hour films by Disney are movies. Besides,it's only about 25 minutes. It starred Sterling Halloway(1899-1992)as pooh, Bruce Reitherman(who also did the voice of Mowgli in ... Read More:

If you have a child that is 1-3 years of age, then classic Pooh videos are a must for your collection. Your child will fall in love with the characters, the songs, and the storyline. I really like the length of the videos as well (not too long, but not too short either...you parents know what I mean).
Bottom line: This a good, wholesome Pooh adventure that your child will love!
