I owned Charlie Brown Thanksgiving in VHS and recently converted to DVD. I asked my grandchildren if they wanted me to replace Charlie Brown Thanksgiving in DVD and they all said YES!. It's a classic at our house and they often borrow it to take home and watch. It's one of those movies that they enjoy over and over again. It's great fun for the whole family. We all watch it together at least once a season.

Charlie Brown searches for the true meaning of Christmas in a world besieged by commercialism. The story Charlie Brown's quest works on a number of different levels, making it worthwhile viewing for children and adults. This half-hour special hits the mark with its message, its wit, music and charm.

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is, for me, one of those great holiday cartoons that I don't want to miss when it's shown on ABC. With the busy schedule that we all have, it's impossible to plan my life around the TV schedule (as I don't have Tivo) so it's good to have these kind of classics in my collection.
Everything from the music of Vince Guaraldi to the happiness in Snoopy's laugh this is a great film be you 7 or 70.

This is a great movie but my rating is a bit low because of the price here some sellers want as much as 100 dollars for a tape thats a rip off it wasnt even that much new. But if theres one here for a decent price and its not an ex rental defantly buy it its a great movie.

You would love this musical created just for diehard Peanuts fans. I bought this for my sons to enjoy and how much Charlie Brown brought enjoyment to me all these years.

I would really love for the goofy studio who controls the rights to this film to once and for all release it on DVD like the fans have demanded!
Personally, I loved this movie. Very typical Peanuts adventure and quite well animated in my opinion. Obviously, this was Charles Schulz's "trip down memory lane" as his beloved characters journey to a small town in France as exchange students. Along their journey, they experience sites and sounds of WWII including some of the music from the Hit Parade of the time, as heard by Snoopy and Woodstock while they drown their sorrows in glasses of (root)beer served on tap at the local French "Cafe du Sports."
The theme music was also quite haunting and memorable. I used to own this movie in VHS ... Read More:

This product came to me damaged (static throughout the video). I am in the process of returning it and would have liked a replacement video, but the Amazon policy doesn't allow that. Don't understand why that is. Other products I have received were satisfactory.

I like this special its very funny. I love how Marcie can't cook good and she asks "uh Sir how do we color the eggs after we fry them?" Later when Snoopy gives them some eggs Marcie asks what do we do with them and Peppermint Patty says "We eat them we put a little salt on them and we eat them." Marcie puts salt on the egg and then crunches down on the shell and says "Tastes terrible Sir." So funny and there's also the Arbor day special that's funny too but I don't care for the voice they used for Lucy. Great DVD. I'll have to get it. I had the old one but it got old so I thew it away.

It would have been foolish to expect the crew behind the PEANUTS specials to top A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS, not just because that show was so great, but also because the Peanuts specials had declined in terms of quality since the early 1980s. But it's shocking how much of a disappointment 1992's IT'S CHRISTMASTIME AGAIN, CHARLIE BROWN, the first "official" sequel to the said timeless classic, is. This special merely ties in several stories that had been created in the Peanuts strips over the past several years, including Charlie Brown wishing to get a pair of gloves for a certain someone; Peppermint Patty groaning over being a sheep in the Christmas play- again; and Snoopy dressed as Santa Claus honking a horn at passing pedestrians. Now, this may be the same format ... Read More:
