You would love this musical created just for diehard Peanuts fans. I bought this for my sons to enjoy and how much Charlie Brown brought enjoyment to me all these years.

When I saw this special for the first time, I was seven years old. This was my first introduction to World War I and II. This special, along with a discussion with my parents, really helped me to understand the sacrifices the soldiers made in keeping us free.
It is a real shame that this is not available on DVD. I strongly recommend this special for use in the classroom.This special does not talk down to the children, it shows children real places and events-most of which involve D-Day. Linus also does a very nice reading of the beautiful poem, "In Flanders Field".
Charles M.Schulz himself was a WWII veteran and was very proud of that fact. Let us honor him and all the other war veterans by making sure both children and adults see ... Read More:

To many viewers, "Is This Goodbye, Charlie Brown?" may seem like a sad movie. After all, who can imagine Peanuts without Linus, Charlie Brown's best friend, and Lucy, Linus's sister and the distributer of five-cent advice. But, no matter what, it's happening. Mr. van Pelt has been offered a new job, which he accepts and causes his family to move a new neighborhood, far, far away from where the rest of the gang is. This is bad enough for Charlie Brown, but his sister, Sally, was expecting Linus (her sweet babboo) to pick her up for a date. Linus even sends his beloved blanket back to Snoopy.

This was a great video, although a little choppy in areas. Two identical intro pieces is too repetitive, corrected ,however, by fast forward button. Linus is having issues with his blankie-good stuff. My little one doesn't leave the room without her "blankie", so she can definately relate to the "Security Blanket" episodes. Very cute, compact, and great to see my children enjoying the Peanuts characters that my husband and I grew up with. I hope yours will too.

Always enjoyable Schulz material, although I could have done without the Abbott and Costello-like football diatribe between Marcie and Pepermint Patty. And once again, Charlie Brown is duped into trying to kick the football for Lucy. The opening segment is quite funny as Peppermint Patty tries in vain to get a gold star on her paper, and has Snoopy go under cover as a student while "Hans Hansen" finds out who took the gold stars. Finally Charlie Brown tries to place his managerial skills tothe test with Lucy in the baseball game. Charlie Brown watches as Lucy gets her first-ever single, and watches even more in vain as Lucy will not slide while trying to steal second! "In my desinger jeans? "
