Creepy, well written, wonderfully acted and intense. This is the one thing (book, music, film, etc.) that EVERYONE enjoys when I recommend it. NO ONE has ever said "eh, it was alright"..... I'd smack then if they did! For an antagonist with no tangible screen time and few lines, Simon is extrememly unsettling and frightening. LOVE this movie.

Welcome to the Dollhouse is a rare and refreshing dark comedy, it's hip, edgy, and all the kids will be talking about it when they're skateboarding and playing hackeysack.
Hey there, how do you like that hip, in your face, logline that I wrote for this movie? I think it's quite proactive. Kidding aside, it is for some reason quite a rare find, even if the subjects it addresses have been milked to death. Adolescent angst, nerds dealing with everyday life and trying to fit in, it's all really chartered territory.
Dollhouse however, presents it in such a dramatic way that it seems quite new; hey, for an hour an a half I WAS an ugly nerdy teenage girl!

This movie was a very good movie but I felt like there was something missing with the relationships and culture of the group of teenagers in the film. I almost felt kinda cheated out of the fact that the drug talk seemed pretty far away from reality, and the actions and atttudes of the kids seem to be played out and light-hearted. I do not like that, I like hard-core harshness and reality when it comes to depicting teenagers. Edie Falco's performance as the mother in jail was outstanding though!

I can't explain it to you, you wouldn't understand. How can you emphasize that something strikes a resonnating chord with a distant memory of a cherished job? Don't buy it unless you've seen it. And "No" you can't borrow my copy.

Pecker is a film about a young man who is a photographer. He takes photos of everything. His photos are noticed in a makeshift photo gallery by someone important in the industry. The humor in this film is great its funny without being over-the-top like say maybe Will Ferrel's or Jim Carey's stuff. Edward Furlong is great in this one, as is Christina Rici. A very easy to watch film.
