The stories are timeless and still relevant, even though one takes place in 1954, one in 1974, and the last in 2000. It is a similar format to "If These Walls Could Talk 2" in which there are three stories from three different generations. The 1954 sequence hits home, in spite of a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy within the armed services, because even now, a military career can still be irreparably damaged if a soldier or officer is outed. Gay youths can relate to the 1974 story, seeing minimal progress from 1974 to the present with the way GLBT young people are treated by their peers. All one has to do is watch "The Matthew Shepard Story" or "Boys Don't Cry" to witness recent cruelty against GLBT youth.

Angelina Jolie and Winona Ryder make a beautiful team in this psycho movie! They act amazingly in this and so convincing! You feel the pain and the torture they are going through to understand their lives! Enjoy this movie with an open heart!

If you're one of those people who loved the Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer movies then you will probably think that Cherry Falls is a great film. I think that it was very good. Not great, but very good.
Cherry Falls has all the ingredients that successful teen slasher movies have exploited to draw audiences: Dark humor, gory tense murder scenes, and an attractive young cast just ready for the butchering. There is a difference with Cherry Falls however. In most teen slasher ... Read More:

The problem with films like this is that the directors and writers don't trust the skills of their actors. They're calling Murphy the next Lucy but they force her into contrived situations that scream insincerity! Dakota is one of the most gifted and natural actors working today but here they spoon feed "precocious" lines into her that even she must have choked on for a paycheck. Watch any mature film of hers next to this one and you'll probably gag yourself.
Unless you thrive on insipid fluff and happy pap, I'd stay clear of this one for sure.

If it doesn't bother you when a director blatantly rips off another movie, take this one for a spin. It's Requiem for a Dream for the methamphetamine crowd. Not as good, of course, but it's a fun ride. Lots of quick edits, lots of Oliver Stone weird, sweaty, extreme close-ups, and absolutely no substance. It's just a week, or so, in the life of a bunch of speed freaks. Nothing more.
Billy Corgan contributes some good stuff, via Djali Zwan to the soundtrack and gets in a quick cameo. There are lots of cameos alongside the ensemble cast. Leguizamo's a little over the top, and Mena Suvari seemed a little stretched, but all in all not too bad. This is a much better role for Brittany Murphy than Love and Other Disasters. It's a fine line between over-acting and acting ... Read More:

Jack Black, Andy Dick and Co. do what they can in this pointless and goofy movie. As stoner films go this one just doesn't have many laughs or story for that matter. If you like stoner films, stick to the early Cheech & Chong films. Andy Dick made me laugh a few times, but that's about it. Black has a small role, but he makes his presence known as usual.

I never thought a film with simply the title of "Drive" would have such good martial arts action. Yes, Mark Dacascos stars in Drive, but the choreography and intensity of the fights is unlike anything I have evr seen him do before. Only The Strong is maybe the closest Mark gets with the Capoeira fighitng style in that movie. In Drive, it is obvious that wires are used quite a bit, but the results are Matrix-like effects that outdo alot of the compeition such as Romeo Must Die and The One. Mark's fighting is also combined with stunts in Drive, sometimes even resembling Jackie Chan.
The story is basically a no-brainer, where the main charcater (Toby Wong - Mark Dacascos) is always on the run from the bad guys. Once involved with a corporation in Hong Kong, Toby has fled ... Read More:
