The item's content was of course, excellent. The movie did come unhinged during shipping, which caused a loose, shaking noise inside before I opened it. I had to prevent the movie from hitting the floor when I opened it. Haven't actually watched the movie to inspect visual damage....more to come.

This was a beautifully scripted and produced movie with some of the greatest cinema talents of our generation. I received this product in perfect condition at a time when I needed it the most. What a wonderful remembrance of the late, great Paul Newman!

The original Fantasia is two hours long. Fantasia 2000 is only 75 minutes long. Sure, it's more attention-grabbing, but this is even less compelling than the original.
Beethoven's 5th is underused (only four minutes worth of music compared to the twenty minutes of the 6th). The second movement of "Pines of Rome" by Ottonio Respighi is entirely cut out. WHY? The Finale to "Carnival of the Animals" is more bombastic than it should be. "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin has some good points, so no loss there. "Pomp and Circumstance" by Sir Edward Elgar is a hit and miss. Donald Duck is supposed to be a nonchalant, hot-headed duck, but I guess political correctness got its wish here. Shostakovich's "Piano Concerto" is uninteresting, ... Read More:

I purchased this movie for a friend from the Amazon market place seller and was holding my breath waiting to see what kind of shape a movie this old would be in when it arrived in my mailbox but to my surprise, it arrived in near mint condition. So my friend, who doesn't live near me, asked me to view the movie to make sure it was okay, I said "sure why not?, I hadn't seen it since it aired on TV, I'll give it a whirl!".
Well, in went the tape and aside from some tracking issues, which were solved with tracking controls, during the opening credits?, the movie played flawlessly in my VCR.
This is the story of Bubba, who was severely retarded, who befriended one of the local town girls of, shall we say, not of Bubba's physical age but anyways, ... Read More:

This is a great movie. That being said, the events it is alleged to portray are only a small part of THIS film. There's a story being told by Mr. Sayles about the conditions in which the miners and their families lived, what their prospects for improvement were, the efforts to unionize the coal fields, and the efforts to thwart the unionization of the same, but beware that you understand that Mr. Sayles was telling a story that only refers to what happened in Matewan and Bloody Mingo in 1920-1921. This is not a documentary nor does Mr. Sayles intend for it to be. His vision of the story is certainly true, but not historically accurate. It is one of those films that makes you think about the message, but be sure you understand that Sayles has a message and you may ... Read More:

Hallmark Hall of Fame's charming What the Deaf Man Heard, based upon the novel What the Deaf-Mute Heard by G.D.Gearino and teleplay by Robert Lenski, follows the misadventures of Sammy Ayers (young Sammy is played by Frankie Muniz, adult Sammy by Matthew Modine), who grows up deaf and orphaned in a small Southern town. Sammy was traveling with his mother (Bernadette Peters) when she suddenly disappeared, leaving him alone and frightened. Her last words to him were, "Not a word," and Sammy takes this as Gospel, refusing to utter a single syllable to the townsfolk who try to help him. Naturally, they think that he is a deaf-mute, and bachelor bus depot owner Norm Jenkins (Tom Skerritt) takes him in.
As Sammy grows into adulthood, he does simple odd jobs ... Read More:
