World of Warcraft is going to be in history books for refining the MMO (massive multiplayer online) game experience. They may not have been the first, and admittedly they are not the best, yet more people play WoW (World of Warcraft) than any other game of it's type.

I got the game but soon found out it gave no further time on my WOW account, which i had expected it to do, and therefore i could not play it until i had purchased time online. Otherwise, this game is great with tons of fun and diversity to be had. Never is there nothing to do!

I did the 10 day free trial just recently and I have played about 3 days. The game is very repetitive. I played 3 different races and each of their quests was pretty much the same: go kill so many of these monsters, go retrieve this item, collect so many of these items, collect so many things by killing these creatures. I saw quiet a few 70th level characters just standing around. I will probally take it off my computer in a few days. I like my Rpg time sinks with more of a plot. The graphics are really cool though. If you want a good storyline try scrolls of morrowind III or dragonquest 8. Single person games. If you like running around and killing things play Diablo 2 or the doom or quake series. This is not just another war simulator. I've played this game for several years, and it just gets better. The campaign has a decent story line and the levels themselves are really cool. The online play is why most people buy this game, because all of the races are equal and fair in competition, the units are really cool, and the tech tree is complex enough to give you some versatility. Not to mention that the game comes with an extremely comprehensive map editor so you can literally make your own melee maps from scratch, or your own scenario maps.
The only downside this game has is its crashes on Mac. I run it on XP and Mac and the XP works great, but you will likely have to find one or two patches online to run the Mac version properly. Otherwise, ... Read More:

Diablo Battle Chest

I bought this to play on a Macbook pro. I have enjoyed this game on PCs in the past. Recent updates to MacOSX (written Sep. 2008) have made the game immediately quit on launch. There does not appear to be an off the shelf fix from either Blizzard or Apple.

This is a great game though.

I remember when Starcraft first came out originally. I was thrilled to play each scenario and finally, after many hours of play, I conquered the final level of each race. I replayed the game so much I ruined the original disk and couldn't reinstall after a computer crash. It's been a few years and true, the animation is a little old school but I found to my delight after purchasing the Starcraft Battle Chest that as soon as I started to play it, the enjoyment began once more. I'd have to say that even if it's your first time playing Starcraft, you'll enjoy figuring out the strategy to win each level,as I did. Two alien race levels give a different perspective than playing the human scenarios, for many more hours of playStarCraft Battle Chest.

WarCraft III Expansion: The Frozen Throne

I outgrow and get tired of games easily but Warcraft III Frozen Throne is the one game i still play since its original release. I can't tell you enough how fun this game is. I pretty much have all the good current games on current systems (PS3, 360, Wii) but i always come back to WC3. It's THAT good!
