Let's be honest here, my favorite futuristic racers has always been Extreme-G, & Jet Moto. Don't ask me why, they've just always held a closer place in my heart than other racers of this sort. Well, I decided to get Wipeout Pure because I was jonesing for a racing game(since EA hadn't put out anything recently to get me excited about) and the price was just right for me(look at the price, it's cheap). The only other Wipeout game I've ever played was Wipeout XL on the PS1 and, sad to say, it never did anything for me. Man, imagine my surprise when I boot up the game and almost, from the get-go, I'm absorbed into the game. The sense of speed is blistering. Twisted Metal Head-On

Twisted Metal is a game I really enjoyed when I first heard about it on PSone. It was fun, the characters were colorful, and the game play was great. Now for Head-On, the first 2 are still true, but the last one is not. The controls are way too sensative. That is the only knock I have on the game. If your a fan of the game and have great hand-eye coordination, you'll enjoy it.

We bought this game for our 9 year old son. He was very excited but soon got frustrated as it was very difficult to pass the first set of challenges in the game. Without passing those you pretty much did not have much you could do as far as level advances besides practice. It took a few days of me and my husband playing until we could finally unlock the rest of the game. Once you pass the first 3 races you unlock faster cars and it's pretty much a piece of cake after that. That is when I could give it to him and he felt he could enjoy the game. Overall it's fun but if you buy it keep in mind that it takes a while to really get into playing since it is very challenging in the beginning.

NASCAR 2007

FINALLY! Something that has not been done since NASCAR 2000, NASCAR on the go! The game is good because you can take it on the road, and its all the fun on the console versions, all in a great handheld system. The bad part is that the screen is hard to see. Overall, the game deserves a 4/5.

Wipeout Pulse

Well, most people are comparing this title to the previous edition, Wipeout Pure, and both games are the best racing titles for the PSP, plain and simple. With this version, you get the same quality found in Wipeout Pure, but with more tracks than the original, slightly more polished graphics, and an online racing mode.

The style of the game is set in the future, and is similar to F-zero, but has a much more modern design style, and has a focus on items found on the course to change up the gameplay. Think of the game as a technopunk version of Mario Kart mixed with F-zero, and you are getting the right idea.
