At $399.00 this is a good deal. The Blu-ray player alone in nearly worth that. Beautifully built, quiet, runs cool. Very happy, (and that is from a LONG time XBox360 user).

Good controller; almost a must if you have a PS3. Control is by bluetooth, not infared, so it is kind of odd and fun to not have to point it towards the TV or PS3. Sony layout is not real intuitive; need to learn it; for example, "X" is the select.

Metal Gear Solid 4

If you are a fan of Metal Gear, you will by far love this game! The graphics are amazing, however the cinematic scenes can get long, boring, and tedious.

The gameplay is fun, and overall, I would highly recommend this game.

with the return of the dual shock it has restored that missing link for MGS4 on the PS3. Hopefully more games come out that are compatible and implement the Dual Shock 3 as well as Konami and Hideo Kojima were able to.

Grand Theft Auto IV

The best GTA by far. Rockstar outdid themselves again with GTA IV. An absolutely phenomenal game and by far the best on the PS3. Rockstar utilizes the PS3 hardware well. The gameplay is better, the storyline is omre developed, the graphics are amazing, and on and on. Not much else to say, incredible game!

I agree with the review about the horrible AI and no car damage. To add to that, here are 3 more problems I had with this game.

1. Game progression. This game operates on a credit system where you have to win prize money in races to buy better cars. This is coupled with race events that are very particular about cars that you are allowed to use. There are races where all cars are permitted, but a good portion where you don't have any of the cars permitted. This means that you will end up racing the all-car events over and over again to get enough money to buy the cars to get into the specific-car events. Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution

I played the demo for Civilization Revolution non-stop. I was extremely excited when the full game was released. The way Civ experience has been re-imagined for the console is great. You must realize that this game IS NOT Civilization IV. The matches are shorter and less complicated. I feel this is because most people with jobs and responsibilities cannot spend the time it takes to play a traditional, 4+ hour Civilization match. The developer also had to cut many features to streamline play to a console level.

Many of the lower reviews are comparing this to Civilization IV which is unfair. This game is more like Civ. Lite. I feel ALL PS3/360 games are at least $10 too much. So I can relate to the pricing complaints.

I play a lot of games so I will be honest here: the game is pretty fun at first. You do a lot of sneaking and "death from above" moves. However, the story itself is too confusing for its own good and the game gets pretty repetitive. If you own a PS3, please save your money for a game like Metal Gear Solid 4, which is totally worth it.
