We have had our Wii for over a year. We bought some extra games to play, but so far, the ones that came with it (sports) are still our favorites. We don't find ourselves playing with it unless we have a party, and need to entertain the teens or younger adults with something. Younger kids like it too, but the controls can be a little confusing for them when under age 5. My 5-yr-old had no problem figuring out how to do the bowling, or boxing, but tennis still baffles us all somewhat. Sometimes we swing, and it doesn't register as a swing at all, or it's "late" with the response.
We don't own any other game systems. We chose this one to help us get up off our "sitters" now and then. No problems with the system. We are just getting ... Read More:

This game by far surpasses all the other MarioKarts Nintendo has ever made! Not only do you get some old tracks back, you also get to conquer new ones. New characters, new cars, tricks in the air and new weapons!

I got Wii Fit not expecting too much. I thought it might have some games that my kids would like enough to take a break from marathon gaming sessions on the couch. Was I surprised - this thing is fantastic! I'm a middle aged woman with way too many kids and I love it!
Wii Fit consists of a wireless platform and the "game" disc. You must already own a Wii game console to use it. You will also need a fairly large open space in front of your TV in order to do all of the exercises. If you are an older person or someone with balance problems, you'll benefit from a sturdy chair nearby to use for balance during some of the exercises.
The platform is actually a wireless scale with hundreds of little sensors that monitor your constant ... Read More:

I ordered this game for my son as a reward for a good report card in school and he is really enjoying it. He is a 11yr old boy so is just perfect for him. He plays it with his friends too and I see all of them having a good time. I researched the prices for this game online and amazon had the best price so I am glad I ordered it. I would definately recommend it.

If you have more than one Wii controller and more than one person playing Mario Kart, consider the Wii Wheel. While it is not an absolutely essential accessory for playing the game it will improve the gaming environment for all present. :) The Wii Wheel is not that expensive and it will eliminate the fuss over which child gets to play with a real steering wheel. I find I cannot get used to steering with a rectangular block held in my hands, it's just not natural!

It's Rock Band. It's fun. For those of you expecting the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions: why would you? If you own a Wii, and have seen the other platforms, don't expect the same level of graphics. Just a few bullet points:
- Just like the guitar controller is hard for guitarists, the drums are tricky for drummers for two reasons - most drummers don't read music on a kit and the pads are counter-intuitive from a typical kit. You get over it though.
- The lack of online play / ability to download games astounds me. Shame on you, developers.
- There's nothing really "Wii" about it. In other words, there's no motion capture components at all. Having wired drums and mic is really dumb for a platform that relies on being wireless.
- Despite ... Read More:

I bought this as a second Wiimote to the one that came with the unit. It's absolutely necessary to play MarioKart, tennis, and many others. I'm glad i got it and it works great. One footnote......I still need a second nunchuck to play boxing (and probably other games) so keep that in mind. Also, you don't need a wheel to play MarioKart. I never use it. I just hold the Wiimote horizontal.

I decided to buy this Wii Nunchuk because my son said he wanted one. It had a low price, so I went for it. When I got it, I noticed that the nunchuck is made of plastic and has this knob-like button thing on it that sticks out. The chain is made of plastic, and is way too long. Plus, you get only one side. I can't see how this could ever be of use in a fight. It's not balanced, there is nothing to hold when you go to hit somebody with it, and I don't think that plastic cable would hold up very long.
It turns out that the plastic cable plugs into a Wii remote control. Still, it's a far cry from a real nunchuck. The remote is way out of balance with their nunchuck, and with that extra long cord, it's useless in a fight, or even for practice. I'd recommend ... Read More:

Thought this would be a great alternative to continuously changing batteries and it was for about 3 months. It worked for about 3 months and will no longer hold a charge - same thing happened to our neighbors unit. Have had much better luck with energizer NIMH rechargeable batteries.
