I purchased the Nintendo Wii Fit with few expectations other than it would be fun. I was not disappointed, I was impressed! I actually found myself smiling while I madly whipped my hips into a frenzy trying to get a great score on the hula-hoop game. Afterwards I felt muscles I'd forgotten I had, and began to laugh that it took a video game to get me to remember them!

The most frustrating part of the Wii Fit is the setup for each individual. My family had a heck of a time getting the board to get our weight (it said we were wiggling...). I finally figured out that those extra footpads that come with the board are actually necessary to allow the board to work properly on carpet. I rented this game to try it out a few days ago and it is totally awesome. To tell you the truth, I actually prefer the single player mode than the multiplayer mode. The single player mode is just pure fun. There are new players that are really cool too. Sure, the multiplayer is very fun too, it's just that I play tons a Wii every day, and I don't have much of a challenge. The only thing negative about this game is that it has no Wi-Fi. I thought that this game would do great with Wi-Fi just like Mario Kart. But, other than that, I would not waste anymore time without buying it. It is a great family game too. It is only a 2 player game, but it's also fun to watch people play it, so you could take turns playing each other. This is for sure a spectacular ... Read More:

My son and I get very different things out of this game. My son is a 11 year-old competitive gamer and he enjoys "beating the game" by doing all the activities and winning all the races. I am getting something different from the game. I am enjoying taking my time, seeing all the sights (the scenery in the game is actually quite beautiful), and relaxing. I have a very stressful job, and after a frustrating day, I can get on my balance board "ski" around and I can feel my blood pressure go down immediately.

I'm new to the Wii platform (love it) and new to the Tiger Woods series. Having said that, I intensely enjoy this game and highly recommend it.

What stands out for me most in this game is the fun that all the combined aspects create. The richness of building up your skills and seeing your game improve is really enjoyable, as are the various formats of play, party games, online play, and progression through the tour and challenge events.

For the gameplay, the full swing is great, but I struggle with the short irons, especially when a 50-70% swing is required. Those are tough to hit, but do-able with a few practice swings.

Going back to Madden 1997 on the Super Nintendo system, I have purchased and enjoyed every single installment of the Madden Football series. The main two reasons I enjoyed this series so much were its featuring of "real" players, as well as the congruence of the controls from system to system and game to game. Whether on the SNES, Nintendo '64, or Gamecube, the button configuration was laid out basically the same, ingraining that pattern in your head for years and years.

With Madden '09, however, I had a bit of difficulty at first adapting to the new controller scheme (Wii remote and nunchuk). Wii controller does not work properly with this game. For example, in Alpine Skiing, I can't accurately steer in the direction I want. It's very frustrating. It's a huge waste of time.

The music and the graphic are okay.
I regret buying it. I should have rented it. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is much better in terms of good controlling, better graphic, and more fun.

I have grown to like this game very much, but it does have glitches.. Particularly for a left hander, and worse for a left hander that putts right handed. At first these glitches were enough to toss the game, but I kept it up, and the misfiring has gotten much less, though no less aggravating.I have had to also putt left handed, and this served to help a great deal.I have just received the 2009, and I can see that is going to take a long adjustment period..Little is the same..Here we go again
I would buy the game again even after knowing about it's shortcomings.

Overall this game was a huge disappointment! The graphics were poor and the game was boring. I wanted to sell this game after playing it just a couple of times. I'll think twice befor purchasing a new game without checking out the reviews.

i did buy the older version by mistake and that may be the reason i didn't like the game as much. the teams were a year behind, makes it kinda confusing.....this is a great kids game. some friends brought their kids over the other day while they visited and the kids had an absolute blast with it.....it helped that they were all boys, who liked baseball, but they loved it none-the-less.....a simplified version of baseball with cartoonish characters that incredibly resembled their namesakes! it is a cute game and please don't take my score too literally. i was ranking it as how much fun "I" had with it. i am use to the mlb games and this kinda took me by surprise. you can make it as hard as you want by increasing the difficulty but at the end of the day, you are still fooling around ...
