I am a major Nancy drew fan. I read most of the old and new books, and I have played/own almost every one of their games. Herinteractive makes really good games, but after Danger by Design, my cousin, sister, and I have ALL agreed that the games' plots have all gone downhill. The Phantom of Venice had incredible graphics, and the plot was okay, but the ending was a very big disapointment. You wind up expecting more as you get into the game, and they also give away the ending(but not the culprit) in the very beginning. I'd say buy an older game. They have awesome plots and endings, and the culprit's reasons are far more reasonable.

OK I love Baldurs gate since I was young. Im really pissed that I cant play Throne of Baal. If you got Vista, Shadows of Amn will work, but everytime I put the THrone of baal in the damn thing intalls it then when you try to play it just sits on the Screen that says to put the disk in....while the disk is in to. I wont reads it ro somthing. Ive bought this one and another one from somewhere else and they both did the same thing.

The game is great once I got it up and running.

Yes, when I first tried to load the install it took twenty minutes for my computer to recognize it. In fact I had given up twice and thought the disc was bad until I came here and read from other reviews to put the disc in and wait and wait and wait...

Then the game kept freezing on me so I went to the website and followed the directions for updating my NVIDIA drivers. The directions were located in the forums under things you can do if the game is freezing and provided a link. Once I updated the video driver, the game worked perfectly ! I have VISTA, 32, NVIDIA 6150 LE.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords

If you played and liked Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, you'll love this game. If you haven't played Knights I, but love Star Wars, LucasArts, or Obsidian Entertainment, you'll love this game.

The original Knights, produced by BioWare, is still one of my favorite games ever, and this game is more or less the same. They've fine tuned some of the details, and added a few tweaks. Most notably is the addition of the "Influence" system. The characters aren't as deep (in my opinion) but they're not just one dimension, either. In your dialogues with your companions, you have the potential to gain or lose influence with them. Warcraft III Battle Chest

I have a few negative things to say about WarCraft 3. First, It is difficult to master. But once you learn how to defeat the Easy AI you jump with joy! It took me 2 months to master rushing when playing on Battle.net. Second, the campaign is not great. You cannot select which campaign you want to play and the story is not the best.

Pros:
1. Awesome gameplay
2. Cool units and heroes
3. Races are fun (Except the Undead race)
4. The fact that it's a Real Time Strategy (I'm a big fan)

Cons:
1. 2+ months to master
2. Campaign selection
3. You cannot select that many units at a time.
Overall a 5 star game!

I started playing DS when it was first beta tested way back when and Microsoft knew what it was doing in the gaming world-it was fun and new. Since that time Microsoft has fallen to the wayside of the gaming industry; other than HALO, and this poor title has been set out to pasture to die with all the other good games that could have been great. I pull this game out whenever I am burnt-out on fast paced FPS or MMO's that are way to complicated to enjoy sometimes. This game has timeless storyline and fun and amazingly still runs on my computer with MS Vista.

The best games have the power to take you into another world; one that is richer and stranger than your own. It may be fascintating, beautiful, or frightening, but when you enter into it you feel that you are really there.

Building this world often starts with the graphics, and Assassin's Creed cannot be faulted here. The effects are gorgeous, and the textures and details are wonderfully rendered. But if this is to be a properly immersive experience, where you, the player, become part of the world, then the interaction and gameplay become just as important, and it is here that Assassin's Creed fails so abysmally.

I remember the big hype about Halo, when it was released. I would have bought it right away if my machine had fufilled the minimum requirements. Lucky me, I had to wait until now and could get the game for a low price. Here is why:
The graphics are not great. Even for the time Halo was released, the textures are not too detailed and the landscape looks like cut from cardboard. Unreal did almost as well in 1998. The story is good enough with three parties, each stiving to achieve their own goals. Also, the use of vehicles makes the game some fun. But the rather lame and very linear construction of the levels don't live up to the possibilities.
Multiplayer might be great with MODs, otherwise it is just slow and boring.
