I've had this product for a while now and after using it for 15-20 minutes it hurts my ears. All of its weight is supported by the top of your ears and it leaves a dent from the pressure at the top of your ear, right where your glasses would sit.
The headphones sound quality is ok, but I have people complain when I'm using the mic that I sound like I'm in a tunnel. Also the spongy mic cover has worn out and fallen off. There are 6 barbs like on a fish hook that held the cover on that are sort of sharp.
Really like the fuctions on the LCD dispay. Very useful when gaming and a must for ventrillo users.
Keys are a little small but I'm getting used to it.
Overall very well build. Fantastic price on Amazon too
I had tried a wireless Saitek EVO, and installation went fine, but within a month I found I had to sporadically reinstall it to get it to work, and after a year it just stopped working. Enough! I picked up a wired Logitech 3D Pro and have been happy ever since. No issues. Great response. I love it.
The short and sweet of it is this is the best controller (wired or otherwise) I've ever used, hands down. I used it for Bionic Commando: Rearmed and it makes the game much more responsive compared to the other controller I was using. According to another reviewer this also works with the PS3 and since I just bought one I am psyched that I now will have two controllers for that system without any further purchases. Sweet!
Anyway, if you are looking for a great wireless gamepad, this is it.
This item is useless. It isn't compatible with most the games I have and doesn't work the way a controller should work. Often, some of the buttons can't be assigned an action and since most games require duel joysticks, you can't never look around with this controller. AHHHH!!!
This is my first "gaming" mouse to use, so am used to the generic Dell-type mice everyone gets with their computers or wireless package --- small, 2 buttons, center scroll wheel, no crazy angled shape to the design. So using those I've always used a "claw/finger" grip and lift the mouse with my fingers. This mouse is GREAT for that! The "small" cover/grip is nice and flat on the sides with a small footprint. 99% of the other gaming mice out there have a huge palm-grip design with all these crazy grooves for your thumb, long enough to rest your whole hand on, etc. If that's the kind of mouse you like, then this might not be for you as even the "large" cover/grip is really only slightly larger than the "small" grip. It's a little more contoured, ... Read More:
I had an Eclipse I at my old work and loved it. Strangely these days, the keyboards from the major brands almost seem designed to irritate their users. Crazy alignment of keys and poor tactile feedback are the primary culprits. The main reason I got the Eclipse was because it had a nice touch. Perhaps it's sentimental, but the touch reminds me somewhat of the Apple II keyboard, though a bit lighter. Combine the nice touch with the perfect layout, and the keyboard was a winner and served me well for a couple years. My only complaint was that it didn't have media control buttons, only volume.
When I needed a keyboard for the new office, I decided to go with the Eclipse II. It was a gamble because I was afraid that they might have messed up ... Read More:
I love them! They completely change my simulator experience and I'm actually getting better at making coordinated turns.
The one thing I would change is the feedback. Right now, the feet oppose each other and provide the only resistance. This is a little different than in an actual airplane, where there is inertia and wind resistance. It's too easy to move, and I have a hard time making precise small movements without tensing up both of my legs. Some sort of damping or resistance in the mechanism would make these perfect. I don't know if anything out there actually has different resistance.
I have owned both a Microsoft Force Feedback and Force Feedback 2 joystick. Both of which I love for the accuracy in which they faithfully translate my input to what I deem realistic movement of the flight controls. This is to be expected by a digital joystick which all Force Feedback controllers are.
I purchased the Flight Sim Yoke USB and Pedals because I realized when I decided to start actual flying lessons, my familiarity with the flight controls of a Cessna 172 wasn't instinctual. This was not an issue until I was performing cross-wind landings and had to "think" about what I needed to do with my feet and hands to hit the touchdown marker aligned with the runway to "take out the crab".
For the price of a single flight lesson, ... Read More:
