I have a version of this that works on Mac OSX. It's perfect for my 3-year old. It works in full-screen mode so nothing on the desktop is accessable. The Little Bill character gives clear instructions to the user, so kids can figure out most activities by themselves. It's been good practice for my daughter to learn to listen and follow instructions, plus the mechanics of click-and-drag, etc. There's also just a lot of goofy things to click on that she thinks are really funny.

The people who actually lived through it called it not WWII but "The War". What if The War had never ended; what if it kept going on its youth grinding path for decades, absorbing lives and destroying dreams, and, eventually, becoming an economic entity of its own? Well, that would have been an alternative world in great need of heroes.
You will be fitting the well-used boots of James Anderson, an officer on the Allied side, sent deep behind enemy lines with the core objective of disrupting and disabling the Russian weapons program. Things, of course, do no go as planed. They rarely do in games with good stories.
The atmosphere is bleak and grey and the level design is exceptional. The environments clearly depict a ... Read More:

I absolutely loved this game. The graphics were bright and interesting. I had trouble staying away from it. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys the match games. I also got part II I enjoyed this one so much.
Panzer General is one of the war games released by SSI in the mid 90's based on those hex mapped games you may have seen people playing in the 80's. I had an uncle into those earlier table top games, and I could NEVER figure out just what he was doing.
Panzer General is the computerized version of that, and with its intuitive interface and easy to understand controls, this game is untold hours of fun and stratagem.
I have played it over and again, from different starting points, and you never play the same game twice even if you come back and fo it all over again. This is not only fun war gaming (Think Advanced Wars without the cartoon character commanders) but it is infinitely replayable.
I thought this one had been lost ... Read More:

Myst is a fun, fascinating, addictive, and very difficult first person puzzle adventure game with a good storyline. The plot isn't immediately obvious, but is revealed bit by bit and finally in its entirety at the end. You must figure things out partly through making inferences based on what you know and partly through written clues.
Finishing takes patience (it's a LONG game) and an ability to figure things out that aren't immediately obvious and/or cheating by using strategy guide (you can buy one or find one on the internet) or asking someone who's played before.
The game's settings are each innovative, very pretty, and feel very realistic, with the exception of the water in Myst (it looks like a giant green mat). ... Read More:

Hi, I'm StoryMaker. I've been a fan of JumpStart software since I was in Kindergarten. I got JumpStart Study Helpers Math Booster from the library recently. I have to say, I am quite pleased! Frankie the dog introduces kids to 3 arcade games that teach math. You can use the content chooser to pick a level & a topic OR you can enter your own math problems and make custom lists to use in the game. This CD-ROM is not only fun but educational for a wide age range. Subjects available in the content chooser include additon, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals, & fractions. They only let you do additon, subtraction, multiplication & division for the custom lists, but it's no big deal. Also, I don't like how they only ... Read More:

I'm doing the 30 day free trial too, anyway, I'm studying vocals (singing different types of songs) and I wanted to be able to edit the music (change notes around, lengthen them, and then hear them played--and this program does that).
But when I started opening a midi file to take a look at, listen to and edit for my own singing, it doesn't do that too well. Notes are missing and when it plays it squeeks some notes out.
So, I tried it with a Tiff File, same thing.
I then tried starting a new, blank sheet music and copying and filling in the notes, but for some reason the selection, copy keys don't seem to work. Maybe it's me, maybe you'll have better luck with it, maybe I'll try it again, but for now I'm trying ... Read More:

This game plays just fine on my Intel Core 2 Duo iMac. Don't know where the previous reviewer got his info.
This is a somewhat obsolescent game but still worthwhile. Graphics are pretty good and game play is generally smooth. I am a fan of combat games and have played through the Ghost Recon series Ghost Recon: Desert Siege (Mac), the Call of Duty series Call of Duty Deluxe Edition (Mac) (Call of Duty, Call Of Duty United Offensive)Call of Duty 2 and Blackhawk Down.
Weapons effects are poorly modeled-a silenced .22 caliber pistol has more knockdown that a 9mm or .45 caliber submachine gun or a .30 caliber rifle! I know because I have trained in real life on almost every US weapon in the game (I'm an old guy!).
