Lost Odyssey has great visuals, especially in the many (and I mean many) movie sequences. In the end however the gameplay is repetitive and you are dragged by the nose the entire story line. The storyline is one big cliché around the central theme of immortal characters, the other themes are the same from every Final Fantasy game from which it borrows the feel and turn based combat style.

Due to the very high quantity of videos it feels like something you are watching rather than playing, and occasionally the game allows you to play through a couple of combats to give you an illusion of interaction. Very good cable, works on my native resolution 1280x1024. Only bad thing is its max frequency is 60Hz

I was really excited about Pure. It has been a while since trick racing has been around. The first couple hours are a blast. I would have liked to see more options for customizing the quads. You do build them from the ground up, but there's just not enough different parts. Class D is where you begin. It's not that hard once you get the hang of the controls, to place first in every race. Just make sure you stay on the trails, you do not get rewarded for improvising and tryng to take massive shortcuts. When you go where the game does'nt want you to go, it merely throws you off of your bike. There are some sneaky shortcuts, but these are too far and between.

I like the fret buttons, I like that they put a raised circle around the start button so that you don't accidentally pause the game while trying to turn on star power.

The auto-calibration is iffy. I went through the process about 20 times, and every time, no matter what I did, it came up with a message saying "we were not able to calibrate your video" followed by instructions to try again. However, it seems to be calibrated, so maybe the error message is an error.

The worst part, however, is the change to the strum bar. I flick it up and down pretty hard, which works great for me on the previous Rock Band guitars, but this one "bounces" too much and registers extra hits frequently. So if you hold it in your fingers and play that way, ... Read More:

I truly detest this game; you can't save the game where you would like to stop, it will take you back to the beginning of the level without giving you a clue that's going to happen.

To go through the game, all you need to do is mindlessly mash the buttons and make time-consuming brainless treks back to buy new armor and weapons and you will proceed through this game without fail.

The only redeeming quality it has is that it is gorgeous, but it is utterly mindless and requires zero skill; mash the buttons, get bounty, buy weapons and armor and go back and mash more buttons. If you die, wait 3 minutes for the angel to restore you and mash more buttons.

Gears Of War

I recently bought an Xbox 360 (yes, I'm late to the party). I've been hearing nothing except how great Gears of War is, and with a sequel coming out in less than a month, I decided to give it a try. Simply stated, the game was beyond my expectations.

Make no mistake, this is the gaming equivalent of a summer blockbuster popcorn flick. The story about a war against the Locust Horde was brilliantly told. When I first started the game, I couldn't put it down for hours. Solid story, very solid voice-acting, and a surprisingly great Star Wars-like musical score all add some much-needed substance to the shooter genre.

Maybe it's just me? Or something you can help me solve? This item would have been great. Possibly is.. but it types double, triple and sometimes 6 of the same letter for me.. and makes it frustrating with all the backspacing I have to do :( It's awful! 3stars because it was almost perfect!
